Dorothy House Hospice Care

Local experiences of life-limiting illness and associated loss and bereavement in the Mendip area.

Community First and the Community Council for Somerset is conducting a needs analysis within the Mendip community on behalf of Dorothy House Hospice Care. We hope to understand what support is felt to be needed locally in terms of life-limiting illness: This might include support to both live well and die well and support with associated loss and bereavement.

For Dorothy House, growing their understanding of community need across their area (including Mendip) is important if they are to realise their new Strategic Plan 2018-25 – Everyday, Everyone - and ensure that everyone in their area has access to outstanding palliative and end of life care.

This online survey is part of the needs analysis in the Mendip area and findings from the survey will be shared with Dorothy House Hospice Care. We hope the results will help us understand peoples’ experiences and expectations of support around life-limiting illness.

If you have any questions about the survey or the needs analysis in the Mendip area, please contact Ellie Ewing at Community First: eewing@communityfirst.org.uk or by telephone on 01380 722475.

There are 13 questions in this survey.
